I remember when I was putting this outfit together, I was doubting myself about wearing the hat….
Will it be too much?
Will I look silly?
What will people think?
And then I remembered….
IT’S OK TO BE TOO MUCH
I received so many compliments from women and men about how fabulous my outfit was…especially the hat!
Several of the women commented that they loved hats and when I asked if they wear them, everyone sheepishly said, “No”, and with some version of “when I was younger”, “at Easter”, “when I go back to England” etc.
When I pressed as to why not, one sweet lady said. “Oh, I think it will be too much”
Too much?
Ladies, what I’ve learned is that it’s ok to be too much.
I still doubt myself sometimes, but what I’ve learned is when you love something WEAR IT!!
Buy the dress, wear the shoes, eat the cake, WEAR THE HAT!!!!
And the best part, when you step into who you are confidently and wear what you love, it gives others motivation/permission/encouragement to do the same.
